Comprehensive bespoke website development and distributed CMS
An extensive website project spanning just over a year from initial blueprinting to final publication.
This bespoke project encompassed all the normal web project components plus some interesting additional facilities.
It integrates with the club's remote legacy membership database by a bespoke API written for the project and synchronises daily.
It has the ability to spawn hundreds of micros websites, one for each of the 800 plus local groups. With that the system appoints local editors according to position at the local club. There are further routines for editors in the hierarchy to appoint other editors with rights in certain sections of the site only.
The whole site and subsites can be content managed by literally thousands of editors.
The original creative designs were commissioned with a responsive framework based on Masonry in mind.
There are specific marketing and community goals that underpinned the specification of the site and this has seen more engagement on all fronts.
Technically this has been built of on a Yii framework for its resilience and future extendibility.
Simon of Toucan Internet was grateful for the award for personal contributions to the project.
